Mrs. Sanchez, 84, died July 4, 2001, at her residence. She was born in Columbia on Dec. 25, 1916, to John Ables and Lina Tarver Ables.
She was a homemaker. She was a member of Pleasant Ridge Pentecostal Church.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Tules Sanchez; one grandchild and two great-grandchildren.
Survivors are her sons, Charles Floyd and Eddie Floyd, both of Brookhaven; her daughters, Peggy McBee and Charlene Lambert, both of Bogue Chitto, and Barbara Brister of Baton Rouge; her brother, Robert Lott of Raymond; her sisters, Lillian Rushing of Tylertown and Georgia Simmons of Columbia; and 14 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
