Delores "Dee" Iletta Ackerman, 71, Lakeview, died Feb. 27, 2002, of natural causes in Klamath Falls.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Sunset Cemetery in Lakeview. Desert Rose Funeral Chapel, Lakeview, is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Ackerman was born Feb. 23, 1931, in Mora, Minn., to Jens and Hildegard (Lovenborg) Telander.
She was also raised and educated in Mora before moving to Oregon, where she met her future husband, Louis "Pinky" Ackerman, at a rodeo in Lakeview. They were married on Oct. 9, 1948, in Crescent City, Calif.
They moved back to Lakeview in 1958 and in 1959 opened Lakeview Bowling Lanes, which they operated until 1972.
Her crewelwork and garden items won many awards at the county fair.
She was a devoted housewife, who enjoyed cooking, baking, and family get-togethers on the holidays. She loved to hunt, fish and go camping with her family. She also enjoyed yearly trips to Arizona in the winter.
Mrs. Ackerman served as a Cub Scout den mother and was a charter member of the Emblem Club.
Survivors include her son, Les of Lakeview; son and daughter-in-law, Dale and Suzette of Lakeview; daughter and son-in-law, Gayle and Dave Johnston of Lakeview; sisters, Bell, Dagne and Gen; brother, Ossie; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Her husband preceded her in death on Oct. 17, 2000.
