LYONS -- Wilson Kinchen Abbott, 87, died May 28 in Vidalia.
A native of Pike County, Alabama, and a longtime resident of Phenix City, he was a retired tailor from Schwab Company of Columbus. He was a member and Elder of First Presbyterian Church of Phenix City and a 33rd Degree Mason of the Wilson Williams Lodge of Phenix City. In 1999 he received recognition for 50 years of service from the Grand Lodge of Alabama and was a long-standing member of Phenix City Shrine Club.
SURVIVORS: his wife of 59 years, Evelyn Jeffries Abbott of Lyons; a daughter and son-in-law, Jane and Joel Burch of Statesboro; a son and daughter-in-law, Kenneth and Linda Abbott of Lyons; four grandchildren, Christy Abbott, Will Abbott, Laura Burch and Jason Burch; and several nieces and nephews.
FUNERAL: 2 p.m. EST Tuesday at Vance Memorial Chapel, Phenix, Ala., burial in Lakeview Memory Gardens.
