Mrs. James Clegg Dies in Hospital Here
Mrs. James Clegg, 84, of the Ainsworth community, died at 4 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 4, 1957, in the Washington County Hospital. She had been in poor health for some time and seriously ill for the past week.
Funeral services will be held Friday, Sept. 6, at 2 p.m. in the Jones Funeral Home with the Rev. Dale [ ? ] in charge. Burial will be in the Ainsworth cemetery.
Mrs. Clegg was born April 30, 1873 in Washington County, the daughter of A. D. and Esther Duncan Acheson. She was married to James E. Clegg Feb. 5, 1896, in Ainsworth, where the two lived all their lives.
Mrs. Clegg had been a member of the County Line Club, the Happy Hour Club, Womens Association of the U. P. Church and the Ainsworth United Presbyterian Church.
Besides her husband, Mrs. Clegg is survived by two grandsons, Larry Clegg, Fresno, Calif., and James Clegg, Chicago, Ill., two great grandchildren, and several nieces.
