Gertie A. Abbott, 89, Stanfill, died Tuesday, Feb 21, at the Harlan Appalachian Regional Hospital.
A native of Alabama, she was the daughter of the late William and Oma Swann Alred.
She was a homemaker, who was a member of the Pansy Baptist Church.
Preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Abbott, she is survived by three children: Roy Enois Abbott, Stanfill; Kathryn Angel, Fairfield, Ohio; Norman Glenn Abbott, Lenarue; 11 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren
The funeral will be held at the Pansy Baptist Church Thursday at 1 p.m. with the Ref. Bobby Rouse and the Rev. Nasby Mills officiating.
Burial will follow in Resthaven Cemetery.
Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
Visitation is Wednesday at Anderson-Laws Funeral Home from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
