Doris Erickson was born September 27, 1921 in Towner, ND. She grew up in North Dakota and attended various schools. She attended North West Institute Medical Technology, Anoka Jr. Ramsey College of Nursing and Anoka Vocational Tech., graduating with a degree as a Certified Occupational Therapist assistant. She was employed at the Cambridge State Hospital in that capacity until 1964 when she retired.
She married Bruce Ashland September 17, 1944 in Corpus Christi, TX.
She is survived by her husband, Bruce, Coon Rapids, MN, four sons, Owen, Bloomington, MN, Neil and LaRoy, Coon Rapids, MN and Mark, Los Angeles, CA, seven granddaughters, three sisters, Ina Haugen, Detroit Lakes, MN, Verna Hareland, Wahpeton, ND and Vivian McLaughlin, Billings, MT.
