Mrs. America Dona Stark Hawken, 78, died at her home at 2 a.m., Sunday. The Rev. Joel Alexander will conduct the funeral services at the Tuscumbia Christian Church at 2 p.m. today. Burial will be in the Tuscumbia Cemetery.
Mrs. Hawken's husband, Samuel Perry Hawken, whom she married Feb. 5, 1905, died at Tuscumbia last Monday.
She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Mabel Maxine Jolly, Kansas City, Kans., and Mrs. Francie Ann Lindholm, Kansas City, Mo.; two sons, William Wayne Hawken, Kansas City, Kans., and Jesse Howard Hawken, Tuscumbia; a brother, Jesse Stark, Tuscumbia; two sisters, Mrs. Lucy Witt, Fulton and Mrs. Frona Pierce, Etterville; three stepchildren, Mrs. Nellie Vernon, Mrs. Opal Alta Lewis, and James Perry Hawken; 17 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
