MRS. SARAH ABRAMS DIES
HAD BEEN IN POOR HEALTH PAST FIVE YEARS

She Was the Mother of Mrs. Elmer Trowbridge at Whose Home Death Occurred

Mrs. Sarah Jane Abrams, mother of Mrs. Elmer Trowbridge, died at the latter's home, 1016 South McGregor street, at 5:45 o'clock yesterday afternoon following an extended illness.
She had been virtually an invalid the last five years.
Mrs. Abrams was almost 79 years old. She had lived in Carthage and vicinity the last 37 years, her husband, John Abrams, dying here 33 years ago. She was born in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
Mr. and Mrs. Abrams were married at Oshkosh, Wisconsin November 13, 1866 and later moved to Kerwin, KS., from where they came to Carthage.
Mrs. Abrams was a member of the First Methodist Episcopal Church. She had a large circle of friends here.
Surviving are three daughters and two sons, also one brother. The daughters are Mrs. Trowbridge, Mrs. Russell Ray of Marion, KS., and Mrs. Joe Dierdorff of Jasper. All were at their mother's bedside when death came. The sons, William Abrams and George Abrams, reside in Brawley and Holtville, California.
The brother, John Lord, resides in Nebraska.
