A very sad incident occurred last Wednesday when Ray the oldest son and Marion, the third child, of Charles Abbott became violently ill. Dr. Quigley was summoned and pronounced it poison and thought it came from eating canned tomatoes. Ray had spasms almost continually and died Thursday morning without ever gaining conciousness. Dr. Quigley was again called and after "post mortem" examintion found it due to eating toad stools, which they had picked along the roadside. Little Marion, although not entirely out of danger, seems to be improving. The funeral of Ray was held from tho house Friday morning, interment in tho McCain cemetery. The parents have the heartfelt sympathy of all in this very sad time of trouble.
