Enoree Ellen Ussery Phillips, 90, of Countryside Park, went home to be with the Lord April 21, 2003.

Born in Hartwell, Ga., she was a daughter of the late Samuel Edgar and Mary Shaffer Doyle Ussery, and was the widow of Willie Clyde Phillips. Before her retirement, she was a seamstress, working until she was 88 years old. Mrs. Phillips was a member of Monaghan Baptist Church.

Surviving are two daughters, Annie Ruth Patnaude, and her husband, Clayton, of Winter Haven, Fla., and Linda Wilkerson, and her husband, Darrial, of Easley; two sons, John E. Phillips Sr., and his wife, Joyce, of Mauldin, and Clyde Phillips, of Greenville; nine grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Doris Brown, of Hart County, Ga.

Memorials may be made to Monaghan Baptist Church, 1500 W. Parker Rd., Greenville, SC 29617; or to St. Francis Hospice, 414-A Pettigru St., Greenville, SC 29601.

Visitation: 6 to 8:30 p.m. today at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday at Monaghan Baptist Church, with burial at Graceland Cemetery, West.
