Mildred Shepherd, 97, of Albion, Illinois passed away at 1:40 a.m. Tuesday, December 21, 2010 at Rest Haven Manor in Albion, Illinois.
She was born June 27, 1913 in Herod, Illinois. Parents were Henry Abby and Amy Mae Bowers Abby. She married Frank Shepherd on April 20, 1930 in Ellery, Illinois.
She was a homemaker and oldest member of Little Prairie Christian Church in Albion, Illinois.
Mildred is survived by granddaughter Lynn (Randy) Hosler of Edwards, Colorado; three great-grandchildren; Dana Garcia, Stephanie and Angela Harrison of Edwards, Colorado; sister Leta Myers of Ft. Myers, Florida; aunt Thelma Ruth Aulvin of Albion, Illinois and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Frank, son Dale Shepherd, two brothers: Bill and Ivan Abby and two sisters: Ethel Newport and Helen Hallam.
Visitation will be held Thursday, December 23, 2010 at Nale's Funeral Home in Albion from 9:30 a.m. until time of funeral service at 11 a.m.
Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery with Pastors David Shain and Tom Cater officiating. Memorials may be made to Little Prairie Cemetery.
