Lanita S. Adams, of Prineville passed away on June 29, 2006 at her home.
She was 47 years old.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, July 5, 2006 at Prineville Community Church. Pastor Dan Le La Cheur of Christian Life Center of Bend officiated.
Lanita was born February 20, 1959 the daughter of Lee A. and Allene (Johnson) Adams in Prineville, Oregon. She was raised and educated in Prineville, graduating from Crook County High School in 1977.
She lived most of her life in central Oregon. Lanita received her insurance license in 1979, and worked for Prineville Insurance, Bend Insurance and, at the time of her death, she was working for Lumberman's Insurance of Bend.
Lanita enjoyed animals (especially dogs), gardening, reading biographies and Christian books.
She loved to socialize with family and friends. She was a member of the Crook County Historical Society. She attended Bend Christian Life Center.
Lanita is survived by: her father and step-mother Lee and Evelyn Adams of Prineville; one daughter Courtney Goldsmith of Portland; sisters Terry and her husband Darrell Goodman, and Shannon and her husband Jerry Sherrer, all of Prineville; nephew Brett Goodman, niece; Dusti Kershner, great nieces Josey Goodman; Arrabelle and Aubri Lane Kershner.
She was preceded in death by her mother in May of 2003.
