Albert F. Ackerman, 71, of Linwood, formerly of Shively, died Sunday at his home.
He was a retired Shively police chief and a member of the Fraternal Order of Police and American Legion Post 220.
Survivors: his wife, Zula Whitman; a daughter, Peggy Poulter; sisters LaVerne Beasley, Mary Robertson, Etta Lance and Debbie Day; brothers Tommy and Ronnie Ackerman; and two grandchildren.
Funeral: 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dixie-Rogers, Magnolia. Burial: Knoxes Creek Cemetery, Linwood. Visitation: after 11 a.m. Tuesday.
