Mr. Adams died Monday at Madison Parish Hospital after a lengthy illness.
He was a native of Monterey, La., a resident of Madison Parish for the past 44 years, a retired automobile body repairman and a member of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Rowena Adams of Tallulah; three sons, Glynn Adams of Tallulah, Marlin Adams of Grandview, Mo. and Lawson Adams of Spring, Tex.; one daughter, Linda Doden of Basalt, Colo.; 12 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Mark Holmes, Shelby Holmes, Darryl Holmes, Rod Cobb, Keith Adams and Jamie Adams.
The family requests that memorials be made to either the Heart Fund or the Louisiana Baptist Children's Home in Monroe.
Visitation is from 3-9 p.m. Wednesday.
