Vivian V. (Bennett) Morris, 67, died Wednesday, Dec. 9, 1998, at Putnam County Hospital. She was a resident of Greencastle.
She was born Jan. 11, 1931, in Russell Springs, Ky. Her parents were Enos and Helen (Chrisman) Bennett. She married Robert E. Morris on Dec. 25, 1952. He survives. Other survivors include a son, Robert Morris of Wheeling, Ill.; a daughter, Lauri Sobel of Woodstock, Ill.; four brothers, Charles Bennett of Rainer, Wash., Arthur Bennett of Augusta, Ga., Arlus Bennett of McLean, Va., and Hobert McQueary of Sweet Home, Ore.; two sisters, Vesper Smith of Franklin and Ruby Dowell of Chesterfield; and four grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Paula Kay Morris; and three sisters, Juanita Bennett, Chloe Wooldridge and Ruth Aaron.
She was a 1949 graduate of Franklin Community High School. She attended Olivet College in Illinois and graduated from National College of Education in Illinois.
She was director of Nazarene Nursery School in Mount Prospect, Ill., retiring after 28 years.
She was a member of Church of Nazarene in Ladoga, Ill.
The Rev. Wendell Raney will conduct a service at 10 a.m. Saturday at Bittles and Hurt Funeral Home in Greencastle. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Burial will be at Portland Mills Cemetery in Parke County.
