Deceased was born at Numedal, Norway, and in 1871 came to America, locating in Clayton county Iowa. In 1878 he came to Moody County, South Dakota, and took up a homestead in Alliance Township. In 1879 he married Aase Daielson, who survives her husband. Mr. Pederson sold his farm some years ago to John K. Johnson, and came to Flandreau, where he has made his home continuously with the exception of about two years spent at Jasper Minn. Mr. and Mrs. Pederson left Jasper three years ago and returned to Flandreau to make their home.

Funeral services were held yesterday, short services being conducted by Re. Blilie at the Pederson home at 10:30 a.m. and later at Bethania church, interment being made in the cemetery at that place.
