Betty Lou Walsh, 70, passed away January 13, 2011.
She was a native of Virginia Beach, VA and was preceded in death by her husband, Berry Dexter Sr.; oldest son, Berry D. Jr.; and youngest son, Glenn Martin Walsh.
Betty Lou was best known for her down home cooking at the Country Kitchen in the Farmers Market for 12 years.
She is survived by her son, Richard Walsh and wife Judy; brother, William "Bill" "Lubie" Brite; four grandchildren, Krystin and Dexter Walsh, Tiffany and Karen Walsh; also a great grandson, R.J. Walsh; two nieces, Renee and Ashley; and two nephews, Michael and Ian. She will be deeply missed by everyone especially her longtime friend and companion, Bob Versallies.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, January 17, 2011, at 6:30 p.m. at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Great Neck Chapel where the family will greet friends between 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Burial will be Tuesday in Austin Cemetery, Kitty Hawk, NC.
