Mrs. Helen I. Marsh, 61, of Venus RD 1, widow of Austin L. Marsh, died at 12:17 am Wednesday in the Oil City Hospital.
Born May 23, 1917, in Oil City, she was a daughter of Edward E. and Rose J. Miller Pleger, and had lived in the area all her life.
Mrs. Marsh was a member of the Coal Hill Free Methodist Church.
She was married January 1, 1937, to Austin L. Marsh, who preceded her in death May 5, 1977.
She is survived by four children ****, Harold E. Marsh of Oil City North Side Star Route, ****, and William E. Marsh of Venus RD 1.
Also surviving are a brother, John C. Pleger of Oil City RD 2; and three sisters, Mrs. Edward (Emogene) Silvis of Oil City RD 2, **** and Mrs. Joseph (Ardelle) Faraone of Newmansville; along with ten grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Mrs. Marsh was preceded in death by her parents, an infant son, Richard; a brother, Edward E. Pleger; and a sister, Mrs. Lillian Stover.
Friends may call at the Jonathan H. Hutchinson Funeral Home, where the family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm today.
The body will be removed at noon Friday to the Coal Hill Free Methodist Church, where funeral services will be held at 2 pm Friday.
Rev. W. Dale Rhome, pastor of the Willow Street Free Methodist Church, will officiate, and will be assisted by Rev. George McDaniel, pastor of the Coal Hill Free Methodist Church.
Interment will be in the Craig Hill Cemetery.
