NEWELLTON (Special) — Funeral services for Albert Sidney McDaniel, 71, of Newellton, will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in First Pentecostal Church here with the Rev. James Hammett officiating, assisted by the Rev. Foster.

Burial will be in Newellton cemetery under direction of Cupit-Young Funeral Home of Tallulah.

A native of Mississippi, Mr. McDaniel resided here for the past 44 years. He died at his residence early Sunday morning after a long illness.

Mr. McDaniel is survived by his widow, Mrs. Annie McDaniel, Newellton; 11 daughters, Mrs. Elizabeth Metcalf[e] and Mrs. Luther Privett, both of Tallulah, Mrs. Bob Williams, Newellton, Mrs. T. J. Kelly, Rayville, Mrs. J. C. Hargrove, Houston, Tex., Mrs. Dick Felter, Woodland, Miss., Mrs. James Floyd, Natchez, Miss., Mrs. Kenneth Williams and Miss Anna McDaniel, both of Tupelo, Miss., Miss Sally McDaniel, Waterproof and Miss Carol McDaniel, Newellton; five sons, Sidney McDaniel, Mason, Ohio, Dick McDaniel and Amos McDaniel, both of Newellton, Jessie Armstrong, Philadelphia, Pa., Mayar Armstrong, El Cajon, Calif.; three brothers, Major McDaniel, Clinton, Miss., Bowen McDaniel and Alton McDaniel, both of Sandersville, Miss.; four sisters, Mrs. Hattie Buston, Laurel, Miss., Mrs. Mary Carter, Dallas, Tex., Mrs. T. T. Toler, Vidalia and Mrs. Amos Sudduth, Sandersville, Miss. and a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
