Hazel Najolia DiLorenzo, age 92, passed away on Sunday, January 23, 2011. Daughter of the late Josephine Doescher Najolia and Dominick D. Najolia. Beloved wife of the late Joseph A. DiLorenzo. Sister of Rita Najolia Munster, Robert H. Najolia and the late, Dominick F. Najolia, Anna Najolia Abadie, Caroline Najolia Mistrot and Joseph James Najolia. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and their children.
Mrs. DiLorenzo was a lifetime resident of St. Bernard Parish and a post-Katrina resident of Carriere, MS. She was a retired St. Bernard Parish Teacher, a prior member of the SERRA club, AARP #3688, the Retired Teachers Association and a parishioner of Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church. She was beloved by many students.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass to be held at OUR LADY OF PROMPT SUCCOR; 2320 Paris Road Chalmette, LA on Wednesday, January 26, 2011 at 1:00 PM. Visitation will begin at 9:30 AM at ST. BERNARD MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME; 701 W. Virtue Street Chalmette, LA. Interment will follow in St. Bernard Memorial Gardens.
