BRANDON-Marie E. Kunkle, 77, Brandon, died Tuesday in St. Mary's Hospital, Madison.
She was born Aug. 3, 1909, in Granom, Alberta, Canada, the daughter of Michael and Wilhelmine Huber Eisenbeiss. She married Sylvester Kunkle July 16, 1930, in Montrose, S. D. He died April 13, 1980.
Mrs. Kunkle had lived in Rosendale for 40 years and Brandon since September. She had been employed as a waitress by several restaurants, including Peachy's and Green Giant Canteen in Rosendale. She also was a nurse's aide at Waupun Memorial Hospital, retiring in 1964.
She was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Eldorado, its Ladies Aid and Rosendale Senior Citizens.
Surviving are two sons, Donald and Dale, both of Rosendale; one daughter, Mrs. Woodrow (Donna) Baker, Waupun; three sisters, Tillie Feddersen, Perry, Iowa, Louise Landt, Farhamville, Iowa, and Mrs. Bob (Olga) Polchow, Canistota, S.D.; eight grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, Ripon, and from noon until the time of services Saturday at the church.
A memorial has been established.
