Martisha was the daughter of John Henson and Emaline Yelton.

Mrs. A. B. Moody Dies Thursday At Age of 74

Mrs. Martishey Emma Moody, esteemed resident of Sherwood community, died last Thursday at the age of 74 years.

Funeral services were conducted Friday afternoon from the Henson's Chapel Methodist Church by the pastor, Reverend J. W. Parker and interment in the nearby cemetery.

A large crowd of friends and neighbors gathered to pay their respects and a beautiful floral offering was in charge of the following ladies: Blanche Stokes, Bessie Brown, Blanche Fletcher, Margaret Cooke, Kate Henson, Francis Mast, Jamie Harman, Mattie Harman, Carrie Isaacs, Effie Isaacs, Mary E. Phillips, Amy Henson and Mrs. Ruth Mast.

The pallbearers were: D. T. Brown,Andy Greer, Tom Moody, Don Stokes, Chauncey Moody, Boss Henson, Oak Henson, Jake Mast and Wiley Mast.

Surviving are the husband, two daughters, one son, ten grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

Mrs. Moody was born in Watauga county in 1861. She married on February 17, 1884. To this union was born seven children, four of whom have gone on before. She was converted in early life and joined Henson's Chapel Church, where she remained a loyal member. She was a faithful wife, a loving mother and a Christian neighbor.
