Cheryl Ann Ages
Cheryl Ann Ages was born July 2, 1946, in Colorado Springs to Estes Clapp and Treva Davenport.
She attended Palmer High School, where she graduated in 1963. Shortly after graduating, she married Robert Hubbard in 1965. To this marriage three children were born.
She later in life married Mark Ages.
She moved to Craig with her family in 1984 where she worked at Valley View Manor until she went to work at The Memorial Hospital as a respiratory therapist for many years. After she left the hospital, she worked for Horizons and Northwest Colorado Mental Health.
During her life, she enjoyed reading books, fishing whether she caught anything or not, being with her family, playing with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and enjoying life with her friends and family to the fullest.
Cheryl was a strong person who was diagnosed with lung cancer in 2005 and survived, and she found out in 2007 she had a brain tumor that she fought until she could fight no more.
During the past few years, she was thinking of her family and friends more than she was thinking of herself.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Treva Clapp, father Estes Clapp, her son, Craig Hubbard, brothers Garry Clapp and Dale Clapp, her aunt, Edith McCarty, her uncles, Roy McCarty and Merle Clapp, both of whom helped raise her.
She is survived by her loving family, her husband, Mark Ages, daughters, Tracie Carsten and Jaclyn Gumfory; grandchildren, Treva Carsten, Robert Carsten, Scott Carsten, Michael Sloan, Jessica Tomison and Andrew Hubbard, her great-grandchildren, C.J. Tomison and Autumn Tomison, favorite aunt, Lavonne Clapp and many cousins.
She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
