Funeral services were held Tuesday at 10 a.m.. at Sacred Heart Church for Mrs. Meri Adamets, 82, of Buckeye Township, who died on Saturday after a short illness. Rosary was said at the Miner Funeral Home Monday evening at 8 p.m. and burial was in Highland Cemetery. The Rev. Fr. George Artman officiated.
The former Miss Meri Svatek, was born in Czechoslovakia on Dec. 19, 1876, and was married there in 1895 to Charles Adamets. They came to Oliver, Pa. in 1907, and to their farm in Buckeye Township in 1921. Mr. Adamets died in 1945.
Surviving are four sons, John and Charles, of Pittsburgh, Pa., Joseph, of Midland and Frank, of Gladwin; three daughters, Mrs. Rose Bell of Chicago, Mrs. Marie McKenna of Cannonsburg, Pa., and Mrs. Helen DeBois of Gladwin; one brother Michael Svatek of Midland, Pa.; 12 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
