Mrs. Lola J. Barker, 676, of 4301 28th Ave., Moline, a former Rock Island resident, died Sunday at home. She had been in ill health for some time.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10 Thursday morning in the Knox-Larson Funeral Home, with the Rev. Robert O. Williams, pastor of South Park Presbyterian Church, Rock Island, officiating.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and from 7 to 9 tomorrow afternoon and evening.
The former Lola June Abbott was born June 7, 1901 in Ferris, a daughter of George and Charity Benjamin Abbott. She received her education in Ferris public schools. She moved to Rock Island in 1918. Since 1945 she had lived in Moline.
She was married to Lynn W. Barker April 2, 1918 in Burnside. He died Dec. 13, 1960.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Robert M. Miles Jr. of Lewisberry, Pa., and Mrs. Sanders A. Mickelson of Rock Island and nine grandchildren.
She also was preceded in death by her parents, a sister and two brothers.
