Mr. Aaron was retired from Univar Chemical Corporation. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Hattiesburg; a veteran of the United States Air Force where he served during the Korean War, a 32nd Degree Mason and a Shriner in Galveston, TX. He was also a graduate of Lamar University in Beaumont, TX.
Mr. Aaron was preceded in death by one son, Robert DeMent Aaron and one daughter, Sandra Smith.
He is survived by his wife, Virginia "Jennie" Rhian DeMent Aaron of Hattiesburg; three granddaughters, Amy Sauls, Jennifer Bass and Colleen Brousard; two grandsons, Joey Aaron and Adam Smith; and eleven great grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
