Bobby Joe Abbott, age 76, of Maryville, passed away Friday morning, March 25, 2011 at Blount Memorial Hospital. Preceded in death by his parents, Ben and Mattie Abbott; sister, Martha JoAnn Abbott and brothers, Benny Lowell Abbott and Jack Abbott. Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Dorothy Ann Abbott; daughter, Debra Gardner; daughter and son in law, Jo Ann and Mike Claypool; grandchildren, Shyann and Joseph Gardner; sisters and brothers in law, Billie Jones, Benalee and Bill Hutsell, Gaynelle and Max Manning, Cindy and Tommy Thomason, Reba and Dale Breedan and Jennie Cook; brother and sister in law, John and Ann Abbott; brother, Robin Abbott; special friends, Jack and Ann Niles; sisters in law, Carole and husband, Cleaston Radford, Ellen Sellers, and Dean and husband, J.C. Barbra; and several nieces and nephews. Family and friends will meet at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, March 27, 2011 at Law's Chapel Cemetery for the graveside service and interment, Rev. Carl White officiating.
