Sarah Frances Johnson Jack was an 1851 pioneer to Oregon from Tazewell County, Illinois. She came with her parents Rev. Neill Johnson and Esther Roelofson Johnson and settled in Belle Passi now Woodburn, Oregon. She was the wife of Thomas Porterfield Jack who is buried next to her. The cemetery is behind the Pleasant Home Methodist Church near Gresham, Oregon. The famous Oregon Suffragette, Abigail Scott Duniway, and her brother, Harvey Scott, editor of the Portland Oregonian, were her first cousins. Their mother, Ann Roelofson Scott, was a sister to Sarah Frances Johnson Jack's mother Esther Roelofson Johnson.
