Funeral services for Mrs. Myrtie May Carlton Crooks, 7925 Bell avenue, who passed away Tuesday morning, May 6th, will be held in Buckeye, Arizona. Remains were accompanied by one of her daughters, Mrs. Pearl G. DeWitt.

Los Angeles funeral arrangements were in charge of E. W. Holman & Sons of 1724 East Florence avenue.

Mrs. Crooks was born in Dekalb County Illinois, March 18, 1861, and was 80 years of age. She was married to George W. Crooks in Dekalb County Missouri, June 16th 1878; raised a large family and moved to Palo Verde, Arizona. She was a member of the Baptist Church, came to California in 1925, and the past 16 years resided at the Bell avenue address.

She is survived by her children William A., Lloyd G. Zelma A., and Jessie W. Crooks, Miss Zoe Crooks, Mrs. Milicent O. Wedgworth, and Mrs. Pearl G. DeWitt, all of Los Angeles, Mrs. B. M. Arnett of Susanville, California, Mrs. Leo Agan of Achilles Kansas, and Mrs. W. A. Wayne of Whitman Arizona.
