Mr. Dale was a United States Marine veteran of World War II. He was retired from Ingalls Shipbuilding in Pascagoula and was an avid fisherman and gardener.
Mr. Dale was preceded in death by his parents, Art and Mary Celestine Dismuke Dale; wife, Ruby Lee Bosarge Dale; brother, Lionel Dale; and sisters; Elsie Gulley and Helen Fuller.
He is survived by his children, Pat Shackelford and Donna Dunston of Grand Bay, Alabama, Debbie and Charles Patrick of Columbus, Don, Jr. & Carol Dale of Shreveport, LA, and Paula and Gregg Lyle of Gautier; a brother, Eugene and Margie Dale of Escatawpa; sisters, Ailene Newman and Bernice Thompson of Pascagoula; thirteen grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be on Monday, May 2, 2011 from 10:00am until 12:00pm at Holder-Wells Funeral Home in Moss Point. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon from the funeral home chapel with Rev. William Leach officiating. Interment will follow in in Machpelah Cemetery in Pascagoula.
