Kathleen "Lorraine" Larive, 76 of Spearfish and formerly of Hot Springs, died Friday, May 6, 2011 at Dorsett Regional Senior Care in Spearfish.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 P.M., Tuesday, May 10, 2011 at the United Churches in Hot Springs with Reverend Morris Nelson officiating. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Hot Springs. Visitation will be two hours prior to the service at the church.

A memorial has been established to benefit the NAJA Shriners Transportation Fund.

Lorraine was born December 29, 1934 to Frank and Kathryn (Winterberg) Maciejewski in Pawhuska, OK. She moved with her family at an early age to Hot Springs, where she was raised and attended school, graduating from high school in 1953. She married Curt Larive on July 21, 1953 in Hot Springs. The couple owned and operated Curt's Standard Station for many years, retiring in the mid 1990's. They moved to Spearfish in 2005.

Lorraine was a member of Easter Star and Daughters of the Nile, she enjoyed pruning her rose bushes, sewing and working on their cabin.

Survivors include her children, Michael (JoAnna) Larive of Gillette, WY, daughter, Dodie McDill of Spearfish, five grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, half brothers, Jay Aaberg of Hot Springs and Chuck Maciejewski of Gardena, CA and half sister, Betty Mack of Fortuna, CA

She was preceded in death by her husband, half brother, Tom Aaberg, grandson, Levi McDill and son-in-law John McDill.
