Delvin Joseph Adams, was 18 years old when he enlisted in the U.S. Army on August 9, 1942, in New Orleans, Louisiana. He was killed in action, while serving as a Private in the 361st Infantry Regiment, 91st Infantry Division in World War II. He was wounded in the Thorax region, by a shrapnel fragment from an enemy artillery shell explosion. He was triaged in the field, and given a transfusion and plasma, but succumbed to his wounds.
