Daughter of the late John Wesley Conway and Elizabeth Dixon, she was the widow of Milo Virgil Abel, II. She was survived by three sons, Kenneth Abel (Deborah), Allen Abel (Rachel) and Virgil Abel (Diane); one daughter, Janice Whittaker; 15 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and an extended family of relatives. She was a member of The Lord's Table in Goldsboro, NC. Her graveside funeral was held on May 16, 2011.
