Clarence died at age 27 early on a Monday morning in a Sonora hospital of injuries received in an automobile accident near Groveland late Sunday night. He had been a resident of Groveland the 3 1/2 months prior to his death.
A veteran of World War II, Anderson had resided in California for the year preceeding his death. He was survived by his wife, Josephine; three children, James, Virginia and Clarence; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. William Anderson; two brothers, Claude Anderson and George Anderson; and four sisters, Mrs. Aliane Coombs, Alice Anderson, Flossie Anderson and Janie Anderson, all of Groveland. Mother's maiden name Foust.
Final rites were held at 2 o'clock with the Rev. M. Caudill officiating, in the Bigelow Chapel.
