Peggy was born the daughter of Paul Edward and Hazel (Harris) Leonard on Jan. 27, 1945, in Cortez. She passed away in Denver on March 3, 2007, at the age of 62.
Peggy loved gardening, especially tending her flowers. She found great enjoyment in time spent with her family.
Surviving Peggy are her husband, Robert Claycomb of Cortez; her mother, Hazel Yuskis of Montrose, Colo.; her children, Robbie Brandon, Rhonda Everett and husband Dale, and Darren Brandon, all of Nephi, Utah, and Deke Brandon and wife Kristine of Payson, Utah; and 11 grandchildren. Also surviving Peggy are two brothers, Hays Leonard, and Linley Leonard and wife Zada of Cortez; and her sister, Lorraine Krebs and husband Tim, also of Cortez.
She was preceded in death by her father, Paul E. Leonard, and her brother, Ronnie Dean Leonard.
Funeral services for Peggy Irene Claycomb will be held Monday, March 12, at the Montelores Baptist Church at the intersection of 23.5 Road and Colorado Highway 184. Pastor Neely Lewis will officiate. Interment is to follow at the Arriola Cemetery.
A visitation has been scheduled for Sunday afternoon from 3 to 5 p.m. at Ertel Memorial Chapel.
