"MONT" ADAMS, ILL YEAR, DIES
Dropsy of Heart Claims Brother of Mrs. C. B. Linville, Aged 71.
Charles F. Adams died at 9:20 o'clock yesterday morning at the home in Edina of his sister, Mrs. C. B. Linville, with whom he had made his home the last five years. Death was from dropsy of the heart. Mr. Adams, who was 71 years old, had been ill a year and bedfast the last three months.
Funeral services are to be conducted at the home at 2 o'clock this afternoon by the Rev. W. J. Imes. Burial will be in Linville cemetery.
Besides the sister here, Mr. Adams is survived by a daughter and granddaughter, Mrs. Florence Schultz and her daughter, Louise, of Chicago.
"Mont" Adams, as Charles Fremont Adams was called by friends, was born in Wenona, Ill., Sept. 15, 1859, the third son of David and Louise Adams. He grew to manhood in Wenona, going from there to Chicago, where he lived and as connected with several large merchantile concerns in the rug and carpet departments forty years.
While living in Chicago he married Miss Emma Condon many years ago, and to them was born the daughter, Mrs. Schultz. Mrs. Adams died ten years ago.
From Chicago Mr. Adams moved to California twelve years ago, being connected with the rug and carpet business there until coming to Edina five years ago, since when he had been retired.
