Cathy was born on December 13, 1959 in Durango the daughter of Harold and Hazel (Davis) Halverson. She passed away on Thursday, December 4, 2008 at Montrose Memorial Hospital in Montrose, Colo. at the age of 48.

Surviving Cathy are her husband, Mike Higman of Dolores; her mother, Hazel Gallavan and husband, Richard of Egnar, Colo.; and her children, Brandi Higman of Farmington, N.M., Shane Higman of Cortez, and Kristen Higman of Fruita, Colo. She was preceded in death by her father; and one brother. Cathy will be greatly missed and loved by all that knew her.

Memorial contributions may be made in Cathy's memory to Dolores State Bank to assist the San Juan Cancer Center in Montrose.Memorial services for longtime area resident Cathy Lynn Higman will be held at 3 p.m. on Thursday, December 11 at Arriola Bible Church. Inurnment will follow at Arriola Cemetery. Pastor Kent Slyter will officiate.
