Funeral services for lifelong area resident DeAnna Striley Greager will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 21, at the Ertel Memorial Chapel. Interment will follow at the Arriola Cemetery.

Greager was born Jan. 26, 1940, in Grand Junction, the daughter of Bruce and Alice (Gardner) Striley. She died Sunday, Sept. 18, 2005, at Mercy Medical Center in Durango at the age of 65.

Greager lived most of her life in the country outside of the Dolores and Cortez area. She had a special love for children and was active in the foster parenting children's program. Greager was part of several clubs and organizations, including County Girls, Yellow Jacket Grange and 4-H. She was an angel on earth, as she now is in heaven. DeAnna was dearly loved by her family and friends who were a big part of her life.

Surviving Greager are her children, DeVena Branson of Cortez, Bruce Uptain and wife, Earlene, of Dolores, Lindy Brogdon of Lake Palestine, Texas, Clayton Watson and wife, Marlene, of Dolores, Clint Watson and wife, Freda, and Kevin Watson and wife, Stacey, all of Cortez, 13 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and her sister, DeLos Fulks of Cortez.

Preceding Greager in death were her parents.

Services are under the direction of the Ertel Funeral Home.
