ABOUT JACOB ABOLT
The body of Jacob Abolt, who died yesterday afternoon on the Howard branch train, was taken to Madison this afternoon. Mr. Abolt was born in Iowa in 1847. He served in the Civil war with an Iowa regiment. He moved with his family to Kansas in 1872, taking a claim in Elemendaro township. A few years later he sold this farm, and settled in Greenwood county, five miles northeast of Madison. He put out a large number of fruit trees on his farm, and took great pride in raising good fruit.
The funeral arrangements have not been made, as his son in Colorado has not been heard from. The interment, however, will be made in the Lena Valley cemetery, where the body of his first wife is interred.
