A graveside service will be held for Evelyn J. McIntyre, 9, of Coos Bay, at 2 pm, Saturday, June 4, at Myrtle Crest memorial Gardens in Coquille.
Evelyn was born Dec. 31, 1921, in Sherwood, N.D., the daughter of Lars and Britah Aarhus She died May 29, 2011, in Coos Bay.
She married James H. McIntyre Sr. in Raymond, Mont., on March 21, 1942. Evelyn was a homemaker.
Evelyn is survived by three sons, James Jr., Kelly and Kyle McIntyre all of Coos Bay; four daughters, Joely Needs of Arizona, Alma Hibdon of Camas Valley, Elaine Brown of Medford, and Kathy wilson of Lakeside; 19 grandchildren; 42 great-grandchildren; 9 1/2 great-great-grandchildren; sister, Solvig Barnett of Alabama; and numereous extended family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Sr.; two brothers, Lyle and Robert Aarhus; two sisters, Junice Holte and Lillian Bussman; grandson, Kelly Mcintyre; and two granddaughters, Wendy Anderson and Janet Joy Hibdon.
