Zula Bell Wilson, 95, formerly of John Knox Towers, died Saturday, Jan. 23, 1999, in her daughter's home in Sterling, Va.
She had retired from the Southlane Manufacturing Co. after many years of service. She was a native of Wake County, N.C., was the daughter of the late Lillie Bell O'Neil Allen and Roame Allen, and was the widow of Marvin A. Wilson.
Mrs. Wilson was a member of Central Baptist Church and was a volunteer for the Meals On Wheels program.
Survivors include a daughter, Daphine Prouty and her husband, Bob, of Sterling; three sons, Bill Wilson and his wife, Loraine, of Washington, Ben Wilson and his wife, Linda, of Mechanicsville, and Col. James Wilson and his wife, Diane, of Swansea, Ill.; a sister, Annie Baker of Erwin, N.C.; a brother, Junius Allen of Zebulon, N.C.; grandchildren, Tom and Kate Wilson of Washington, Rob Prouty and his wife, Theresa, and Scott Prouty, all of Atlanta, Wendy Bohannon and her husband, Mike, and Joe Wilson, all of Mechanicsville, Raquel Ricci and her husband, Joe, of Virginia Beach, 2nd Lt. Tyler Wilson and his wife, Tina, of Evans Mills, N.Y., and Amanda Wilson of Swansea, Ill.; and a great-granddaughter, Natasha Ricci of Virginia Beach.
A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Central Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Central Baptist Church or to the Hospice of Northern Virginia, P.O. Box 922, Falls Church, Va. 22040-0922. Cox Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
