Bristol Compressor after 26 years of service. She loved shopping at yard sales, gardening, cooking, doing for others, her
grandchildren, great-grandchildren and her dog "Sassy". She is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, David Abel; a son,
Ben Abel and his wife, Rita, of Abingdon; two daughters, Carolyn Wolfe and her husband, Eric, of Abingdon, and Brenda Lee
Nunley of Meadowview, Va.; two sisters, Elizabeth Nickles, of Chattanooga, Tenn., and Judy Sparr and her husband, Roy, of
North Carolina; three grandchildren, Jason Abel and his wife, Brittanie, Michael Abel, Derrick Anderson; and one great- grandchild,
Bayliegh Abel. The family would like to thank Hospice of Southwest Virginia, and Grace Healthcare for the care given to Imogene
Abel. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 11, 2011, at 2 p.m. at Farris Funeral Service, Main Street Chapel with Paul
Price, Dr. Paul Bufford officiating. Pallbearers will be Mike Abel Jeff Hutton, Kelsey Owens, Rick Roark, Jerry Anderson, and John
Miller. Burial will be at Forest Hills Memory Gardens following the service. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from
