He worked at Koochel's Parts Plus and had worked for Wettstein Farms for 10 years. He retired in April 2010. He enjoyed car racing, being a mechanic and doing handyman work. He was a member of Risen Glory Church.
On April 28, 1988 he married Jenny Wilson in Liberal, KS. She survives.
Other survivors include 5 Sons Travis Abbott and wife Tammy Liberal, KS; Brandon Abbott Liberal, Ks; Shane Abbott and wife Missy Wichita, KS; Johnathan Wilson Liberal, KS and Micheal Wilson Liberal, KS. 2 Daughters Amy Mease and husband Chris Wichita, KS; Cassie Nutt and husband Shawn Liberal, KS. 10 Grandchildren and 2 Great Grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 13, 2011 at Brenneman Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Ann Holman presiding. Burial will be in Restlawn Cemetery.
Visitation will be 4:00 – 8:00 pm Monday and 9:00 am – 8:00 pm Tuesday with the family present from 6:30-8:00 pm Tuesday at Brenneman Funeral Home.
