Death Monday at her home in Hurley claimed Mrs. Edna Iva Abbott, 62, wife of George P Abbott, field engineering equipment foreman of China Mines Division. Kennecott Copper Corp. Mrs. Abbott was born in Ozona, Texas and had resided in Hurley for the past 21 years, where she was active in the Order of Eastern Star, the Order of Rainbow for Girls and the Hurley Community Church Surviving are her husband, a son, Lewis D. Doney, Casa Grande, Ariz.; three brothers, J. P. Cavin Compton., Calif.; D. C. Cavin, Los Angeles; Nathan T. Cavin, El Paso; two sisters, Mrs. P. H. Goode, Anaheim. Calif., and Mrs Joyce Loper, Hollywood CA two grandchildren, four nieces and three nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. today at the Cox Mortuary chapel, the Rev. H. E. Johnson, pastor of the Santa Rita Community Church conducting the rites, with ritualistic services by the Order of Eastern Star. Burial will take place at the Masonic cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Jesse B. Taylor, Bert A. Bobbins, Frank Seliman, K G. Bryan, Ed Martin and L J. Deiser.
