Kenneth Owen "Kenny" Arrington
Kenneth Owen "Kenny" Arrington, 64 of Bedford, died Saturday, July 16, 2011 in Roanoke Memorial Hospital from injuries he received in a home accident. Born May 14, 1947 in Bedford County, he was a son of Mildred Wilkerson Arrington of Bedford and the late W. Ellis Arrington.
Kenny attended New London Academy and was a member of the first graduating class at Liberty High School in 1965. Following graduation he joined the Marine Corps and served in Viet Nam. He owned his own trucking company and the Goode Service Station but always considered his home was on the farm.
In addition to his mother, Kenny is survived by his wife Virginia Davenport Arrington; two brothers, Ellis Carrol Arrington (Mary) and Lynwood Eugene Arrington (Sandra) both of Goode; a sister, Barbara A. Abbott (Wayne) of Forest; two step-daughters, Mendy Fitzgerald and Tandee Lester; three step-grandchildren, Jared Fitzgerald, John Fitzgerald and Jackson Lee; three nephews, David Arrington, Kevin Arrington and Jimmy Arrington; five nieces, Pam Dyba, Rita Parker, Angie Gerni, Melissa Gaddy and Teresia Hardy.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, July 22, 2011, at Tharp Funeral Chapel with Rev. Mark Flores and Rev. Mike Casey officiating.
