Pearl Marie Counts Edgar of Farmington passed away on January 6, 1994, at the Missouri Baptist Hospital in St. Louis.

She was born July 4, 1908, at Cook Station, Mo., to the late Frank and Phoebe Faust Counts.

She was also preceded in death by her husband, Cortez Edgar, by two brothers, Jewel and Arthur Counts, by one sister, Bessie, by one grandson, Ronnie Edgar, and by one granddaughter, Lana Renee Edgar. Pearl Edgar was 85 years old.

Mrs. Edgar was a long-time resident of the Farmington area.

Before her retirement, she was employed as a hospital attendant at the Farmington State Hospital.

She was a member of the Church of God at Wortham, Mo.

Mrs. Edgar is survived by three sons: Raymond and Fred (Bud) Edgar of Farmington, and Norman (Pete) Edgar of Monet, Mo.

Also surviving are three daughters: Betty Smith of Collinsville, Ill., and Margaret Pullen and Phoebe (Cathy) Hammers, both of Farmington.

She is also survived by two sisters, Mrs. Muriel Pritchett of Farmington and by Mrs. Jerdie Hartle of Millersville, Mo.

Also surviving are 21 grandchildren, 44 great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren.

Friends called at the Cozean Funeral Home on Sunday, January 9.

Funeral services were held at the Cozean Chapel on Monday, January 10 at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Dan Smith, pastor of the First General Baptist Church of Rosewood Heights, Ill., officiating.
Burial followed at the Roberts Cemetery in Sligo, Mo.
