She was a daughter of Clarence E. and Margie L. (Guffey) Duncan. She was formerly married to Alva Walter Long Jr. and they were the parents of three sons. She attended Wood High School in Windfall and was a graduate of Huffer Beauty College in 1959. She was a master cosmetologist and attended Holiday Inn Mangement School in 1975. She had been a sales representative for Procter and Gamble Co.
She also was a member of Greentown Wesleyan Church and lived most of her life in Windfall, later moving to Kokomo.
She is survived by two sons, two sisters, eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Danny R. Long; a granddaughter, Jamie R. Long; a sister, Betty; and her parents.
She is buried beside her son Danny.
