James Lamar Abbot, 45, passed away Tuesday, July 21, 2009. He was born in LaFayette on Oct. 22, 1963. He was a self-employed contract-painter and was of the Baptist faith. He loved cars and riding motorcycles.
He was preceded in death by his fiance, Chrissy Dearing; grandparents, Jim and Avie Abbott, Mae Ponder and Shannon Kirk.
Survivors include his mother, Jimmie Abbott; father and step-mother, Elmer and Faye Abbott; daughters, Hillarie Brooke Abbott and Shannon Rachel Marie Abbott; brother and sister-in-law, Terry and Vickie Abbott; stepsister, Chastity Ward, all of LaFayette; and several nieces and nephews.
Interment will be in LaFayette City Cemetery.
