HASKELL — Chester K. Abbott, 71, employed by Amoco Pipeline for 37 years until retiring in 1984 died Wednesday in a local hospital after a lengthy illness.
Services will be at 10 a.m. today in Haskell First Baptist Church with the Rev Jim Turner and Dr. Troy Culpepper officiating Burial will be in Willow Cemetery directed by Holden-Mc£auley Funeral Directors.
Mr. Abbott was born in Ada Oklahoma and served with the US Army during World War IL He married Mary Morris in 1947 and was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 8231 in Snyder and First Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife of Haskell; two daughter Theresa Vest and Darlene Stokes both of Snyder; two sisters Edna Warner and Martha Knight both of Ada, Oklahoma; three grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
