Gloria Galvan Abeyta, 55, of Safford, entered into rest on Wednesday, September 7, 2011 at her home. She was born on August 13, 1956 in Los Angeles, CA, to Longino Abeyta and Antonia Galvin.
Gloria grew up in Los Angeles, CA, with her mother and father. She attended school until her mother passed away. She then moved to Arizona with her father. She enjoyed her work at the Blake Foundation Ceramic Shop. Gloria loved to entertain and all who knew that her enthusiasm, wit, and her personality was like no other and she will be missed by all. She lived with Terry Yoo for the last six years until the time of her passing.
She is survived by her father Longino S. Abeyta, various aunts, uncles, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Antonia Galvan Abeyta.
Viewing will be at 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 13, 2011 at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church. Rosary will be recited at 10:00 a.m. and Mass of a Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. by Rev. Father Edward Lucero, at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church.
Interment will be in the Safford Cemetery.
